Prayer Times Terms of Service
These Terms apply to the Prayer Times Android app (com.appnest.prayertimes), published by APPNEST on Google Play. By installing or using the app, you agree to them.
1. About Prayer Times
Prayer Times shows daily prayer times for your location, with Adhan alerts, the Qibla direction, the Quran and a Hijri calendar.
The app has no ads and needs no account. Location is optional; you can enter your city by hand instead.
2. Purchases and refunds
The app is free. An optional one-time Supporter purchase unlocks extra themes.
- The price is shown in Google Play, in your local currency, before you buy
- It is a one-time payment, not a subscription
- The themes stay unlocked on devices signed in to the same Google account
All payments are made through Google Play Billing. APPNEST never sees or stores your card or bank details. Refunds follow the Google Play refund policy, and you can also contact us for help.
3. Acceptable use
When you use Prayer Times, you agree to these rules:
- Do not copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer the app, or share modified versions of it
- Do not try to get unauthorised access to our servers or overload them with automated requests
- Do not use the app to break the law or the rights of other people
4. Important notices
Check prayer times locally
Prayer times are calculated from your location, the calculation method and the madhab you pick. Results can differ from your local timetable by a few minutes. Please confirm times with your local masjid or Islamic authority.
Adhan alerts depend on your phone
Some phones stop or delay alarms and notifications to save battery. An Adhan alert may be late or missed because of phone settings, so do not rely on the app as your only reminder.
Qibla direction
The Qibla direction uses your phone’s compass, which can be affected by metal, magnets and electronics nearby. Calibrate the compass and check the direction with a trusted local source.
5. Privacy
How the app handles data is explained in the Prayer Times Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.
6. Ownership and licence
The app, its design and its content belong to APPNEST. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, under these Terms. Other names and brands mentioned in the app belong to their owners.
7. No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it accurate and working, but we do not promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or right for your purpose. Features may change or be removed in updates.
8. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, APPNEST is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit or business, that comes from using or not being able to use the app. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Your consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection laws that apply to you, including in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom.
10. Ending use
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. Uninstalling does not cancel a subscription, so cancel it in Google Play first. We may stop providing the app, or block access for anyone who breaks these Terms.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the app changes. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. If you keep using the app after a change, the new Terms apply.
